I really shouldn’t be sharing this early in stages, but the excitement is hard to hold back! Tail Wags is working on featuring an exclusive Tail Wags apparel design that humans and/or pups can wear. I’m THRILLED to have collaborated with Winks & Whiskers, a new startup that we’re also proud to support (a portion of their sales is donated to shelters – how pawesome is that?!). I wanted a shirt I’d love to wear myself with something on it that only dog lovers would understand; something that also celebrates local (and of course Tail Wags!). Eric’s design genius did an amazing job! Here’s a sneak peak and only a draft. Rest assured, we’ll also be looking for the best fabric (who says Fido can’t appreciate a light and soft fabric on their coats?!).
Come join us for a free One Line Coffee tasting at 10:30am and a RescuedOhio adoption event from 10:30am to 12:00pm on Saturday, April 2.
This is coffee lover and dog friendly event. For those new to Tail Wags and interested in memberships, Tail Wags staff will provide a free orientation after the event (if your pup wants to check us out, proof of vaccinations are required).
Doggies strike a pose? They sure do with Sarah! Some people have asked about where we get our photography used in website, social media and other marketing. Mostly, we use Sarah Stroehman Photography and couldn’t be happier with her work. She’s an absolute pleasure to work with and is truly talented in the art of making art – that is capturing the dearest pup moments you’ll want to cherish forever. Yep, Jake gives Sarah a 5 paws up! http://www.sarahstroehman.com/
It’s only been a short 3 days since our soft open started. And the “chatter” about us has been amazing! I always knew Tail Wags was exceptional… we’re the 1st and only; we fill an un-met need; we’re building an amazing team (and have the most adorable 4-legged inspiration); we have a model that can’t easily be replicated; our home is in one of the best neighborhoods in Columbus; etc. Now, it’s the positive energy and excitement we’re seeing from the dog community that has been especially meaningful. The guests we’ve had love it, new dog & dog lover connections are being made, and we’ve even heard from beyond our city with wishes we were there. We’re beyond grateful Columbus, and we can’t be more excited to “officially” open our doors to you and your furry BFFs!
A peace-maker. And too adorable not to share!
There’s a number of stuff I find online that is share-worthy and this is one of them! If you use Instagram, you gotta follow @thedogist if you don’t already. It’s some of the best doggie pictures that will no doubt, make your day brighter. Enjoy!
A healthy pup is a happy pup! These exercise ideas from The Whole Dog Journal are easy to try. Next time the weather keeps you ‘inside’ (or at Tail Wags!), keep these in mind 😉
I couldn’t be more happy to finally bring my dream to fruition! Three years ago, I left a corporate job in my field to pursue opening this business – a destination for dog lovers that is truly unique and magnificent. It’s been an uphill battle from the start but perhaps that’s the very reason why seeing it come alive is also even more meaningful.
Tail Wags fills a real need – it sounds silly, but I felt I had to open so I can be my own customer! The unpredictable weather in Cbus alone left me yearning for an indoor place where Jake, my pup, could play and get the exercise and socializing that he needs to be happy and healthy. And even when it’s nice out, dog parks don’t always feel safe, sanitary, or pleasant. Now, a new option is coming soon (slowly but surely). And with a lot of extras that make it much more than a place for dogs to love – it will be a place dog lovers love too.
Meet Jake, CFO (Canine Fun Officer) at Tail Wags. He’s a rescue, Welsh Terrier & Cairn Terrier mix. This sweet little guy is the inspiration for Tail Wags. A social little pup who made me frequent many dog parks around town. And thanks to him, an idea was born! He’s now 7 years old, adorable and playful as ever, and will soon have a playground of his own – who knew?
