Bringing a new friend home over the holidays? Just got a new pup or rescue dog and feeling a little lost?

No matter if this is your first dog, or you are an old pro, you are sure to get some tips from our favorite expert at Delighted Dog Academy that will help make things go smoothly!

Come learn about how to help your new pet settle in, learn the ropes, and avoid some of the major pit falls that can result in behavior issues down the line. There will be ample time for your questions during this session.

How To Train A Dog: 1 session, 90 min, NO DOGS ($25)

Back by popular demand and overwhelming positive feedback from past attendees!

Heather Luedecke from Delighted Dog Training Academy is back with a session that will cover the ‘why’ of training and behavior basics that will be the foundation to all the training you will ever do with your dog. If you know you need training, but aren’t sure where to start this session will jump start any training program you choose. She will cover the ground rules for group training, how to get your dog working and how to pay them, review the structure for building new behaviors, and discuss specific ways you can build training into your daily life so it is fun and easy. She will also explore the hierarchy of dog needs and how to apply it, and address reasons you do not need to use punishment in training. Finally, she will discuss some practical ways to improve manners, and reduce annoying behaviors right now! This session is also a great opportunity to meet Heather, and ask some basic questions.

We’re delighted to welcome Heather Luedecke, from Delighted Dog Training Academy, as your dog behavior specialist for these sessions! Heather will be available to meet with you and your dog, if you would like to bring them ($45). You’re welcome to come without your dog too ($35).

These sessions are great for asking the ‘why does my dog do that’ question that has been nagging you; addressing frustrating attention seeking behaviors (jumping up, barking at you, whining); learn or refine a behavior you need now without having to take a whole class; or resolve a behavior concern that has been bothering you but didn’t seem like enough to actually have a trainer come to your home. Hosting by Tail Wags Playground also allows for the opportunity to work on any minor problems you have been seeing with dog interactions.
